Counseling, discussions and activities tailored to the special needs of grieving children are offered at VNA Hospice’s Camp Chrysalis, a daycamp offered twice yearly to Indian River County residents, ages seven through 12, who have lost a loved one. There is no charge to attend, and campers are not required to have a previous association with VNA Hospice.
Staffed by bereavement specialists and trained volunteers, Camp Chrysalis features art projects, games, group meetings and question and answer sessions offering children an opportunity to adjust, cope, and eventually shine despite the loss that has entered their lives.
