What is planning giving?
Planned Giving is all about supporting your favorite causes with the thoughtfulness and foresight to include charitable organizations in your estate planning. A planned gift is simply a gift that is planned ahead of time and can range from a simple bequest to a complex charitable trust. Planned gifts are not only extremely important in funding the charitable efforts of non-profit organizations, but can also be very beneficial to you, the donor, as well.
Why do a planned gift for VNA & VNA Hospice?
Planned Gifts are often directed towards long standing charities, with solid reputations of carrying out their mission with passion and integrity. The Visiting Nurse Association was founded in Vero Beach in 1975, with the mission of responding to the community’s needs for home health care and related services. The VNA now provides home health care and wellness assistance to over 20,000 people each year, with nursing visits, our mobile health unit, flu shots and health seminars. Hospice came under the wing of VNA in 1986, allowing us to provide a smooth transition for patients who are entering the last six months of their lives. At any given time, we have 80-100 patients under our care in nursing homes, the hospital or in their own homes. And now, with the realization of our beautiful Hospice House, we are able to provide a place of peace and comfort for those in greatest need. Planned Gifts, along with donations and other fund-raising efforts, provide the resources that allow us the unique and most worthwhile ability to welcome all patients, regardless of their financial circumstances. We are very proud of being able to say, "VNA & VNA Hospice has never turned away a patient due to their inability to pay."
A planned gift can provide you with the following benefits:
Increase current income for you or for someone else
Reduce your income tax
Avoid capital gains tax
Transfer assets to your family with less tax cost
Enjoy the knowledge that you are helping VNA & Hospice
